Sixers 2-0 in the Summer League, after defeating Boston PDF Print E-mail
Of course it is only the Summer League, but for the Sixers to be undefeated comes in as a slight surprise. You would have better odds playing in an online casino then betting on them to stay perfect.
In the second game of their Orlando Summer League schedule, the 76ers topped the celtics 86-69 to stay perfect at 2-0.

The Sixers were led by an unlikely player, second year point guard Jodie Meeks, who dropped 18 points on 6-11 shooting. Meeks was the main pickup at last year's trade deadline for the Sixers when he was acquired by Philly from the Bucks. Another impressive performance came from the third year forward Marreese Speights, as the big man finished with a double-double of 12 points and 11 boards. Speights has shown up leaner and almost 20 pounds lighter than he was last season.

No. 2 overall pick Evan Turner finished with 13 points, while expected starting point guard Jrue Holiday finished with 10 points and five assists.

Because the Celtics are such a solid, veteran team, there were no real game tested players involved for Boston. A solid effort did come from forward Luke Harangody, their second round pick, who finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Hopefully some of the Sixers' success will transfer over to the regular season. But for right now, it’s good knowing that three potential starters are going to come into camp with a winning feeling—something that was lacking a bit last year.
